Annika Fain is a restoration scientist and owner of Fain Environmental LLC. She is a Certified Floodplain Manager who has broad-based experience in ecosystem restoration, coastal geomorphology, watershed hydrology, floodplain management, and environmental outreach. She has 12 years of experience managing and performing analysis of physical and geological processes throughout the watershed. For the past five years, she has led restoration events along the Duwamish River as a Puget Sound Steward with EarthCorps. She has participated in restoration events throughout the watershed for the past 26 years.
In her spare time, Annika teaches students about oceanography through the Ocean Inquiry Program. She mentors girls in science through Expanding Your Horizons and Advocates for Women in Science, Engineering, and Math (AWSEM). She participates in the Girls on the Run program as a running buddy for elementary school girls. Additionally, she is an assistant coach for a running program at the Seattle World School. Annika is an outdoor enthusiast. She is an avid runner, cyclist, triathlete, and hiker. She enjoys adventures with her friends, husband, and dog.
